Clemson Picks Up Second 2028 Commitment

Clemson has added a new 2028 commitment.

Three-star TE Wright Martin announced a commitment to the Tigers on Thursday. Georgia, Ohio State, Virginia, Virginia Tech and SMU represented some of his other offers.

“I could really see myself at Clemson, just as far as everything they do culturally and with the team,” Martin recently told TCI. “I feel like it just really fits me. Me and my parents talked about (Dabo Swinney’s) life story and how Jesus has helped him in life, and his walk with Jesus, and that is something me and my parents value a lot. We are looking for somewhere like that.”

Martin becomes the second commitment for Clemson in the 2028 class, joining four-star QB Trace Hawkins.

Rivals ranks him as the 25th best TE in the class.

Martin’s father, Ingle Martin, played quarterback and wide receiver, along with doing some punting at Florida before transferring to Furman to become the Paladins’ signal caller. Martin was inducted into the Furman Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012.
