CLEMSON — Clemson will host FCS foe Charleston Southern at noon on Saturday for Military Appreciation Day at Memorial Stadium.
The Tigers (3-2, 2-1 ACC) are coming off an open date, while the Buccaneers (3-3, 0-2 OVC) are coming off a win over SC State. Clemson comes in 41-0 all-time against FCC teams since the NCAA split Division I in 1978.
DT Devarrick Woods is not dressed out during pregame workouts and is out according to the availability report. Woods has been dealing with an injury in recent weeks. He missed the win over Cal after making his first start against North Carolina, then played six snaps in the loss to Miami.
DE Armon Mason is also out.
Running back Jay Haynes is expected to return after a lengthy absence. Haynes has not played since suffering an ACL tear in the 2024 ACC Championship win over SMU.
Transfer DT Kourtney Kelly is also expected to make his Clemson debut today. Kelly tore an ACL early on in spring practice.
Two Clemson players may appear in alternate numbers in select situations: No. 26 Jay Haynes (36) and No. 94 Chapman Pendergrass (65).
Kickoff is set for noon, and the game will be televised on the ACC Network.
