Bad news for an upcoming Clemson opponent.
Florida State sophomore running back Ousmane Kromah is expected to miss the remainder of the 2026 season after suffering a foot and ankle injury, according to reports.
Kromah was carted off the field in an air cast during the second quarter of the Seminoles’ 43-35, double-overtime loss to Miami on Saturday.
According to ESPN, “Kromah had a 9-yard carry to Miami’s 2-yard line but landed awkwardly on his ankle when Chase Smith tackled him. Kromah tried to hop off the field on his right leg, with his ankle bent at an angle. He finally fell to the turf, and the Florida State medical staff immediately put an air cast on his leg before he was carted off.”
Reports indicate that Kromah has already undergone surgery to repair fractured bones in his injured ankle and foot.
Before his injury, Kromah was having a breakout sophomore campaign. He leads the team with 114 carries and 609 rushing yards this season, and has also rushed for five touchdowns.
With fellow running back Samuel Singleton Jr. also sidelined with an injury, the Seminoles will lean on running backs Quintrevion Wisner and Amari Thomas.
After Clemson’s game vs. Virginia Tech at Memorial Stadium next Saturday (7 p.m., ESPN), the Tigers will travel to play Florida State at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Fla., on Saturday, Oct. 31.
The Seminoles currently own a 3-4 overall record, including a 1-3 mark in ACC play.
