Tuesday Tiger Talk: Virginia Tech at Clemson

CLEMSON — The Clemson Insider’s Will Vandervort, Ashby Mixon and Jason Priester go over all the news and notes that came out of Tuesday’s press conferences at the Smart Family Media Center in Clemson.

Saturday’s contest could prove to be pivotal in the race for ACC Championship Game positioning. At 2-1 in conference play, Clemson (4-2) is one of five teams with one loss or fewer in ACC play this season.

Behind 4-0 Miami, that group includes 2-1 Clemson, 4-1 Wake Forest, 3-1 SMU and 2-1 North Carolina. That quartet of one-loss teams has only two games against one another this season, a Sept. 19 Clemson win against North Carolina, and a looming Nov. 14 matchup between Wake Forest and SMU.

Virginia Tech (5-2, 2-2) is among a crowded group of nine teams currently standing with two conference losses.
