You can see some national picks below:
At College Football News, Florida State is the consensus pick. 11 experts picked FSU to win, while three went with Clemson.
Bleacher Report picked the Seminoles to beat the Tigers, 24-19.
ESPN’s Greg McElroy sees a 26-22 FSU victory.
“We’ll say that Clemson covers the number. I think the game’s going to be low scoring. I think Florida State wins this game 26-22,” McElroy said.
“Clemson will kick their way into a cover, and [Clemson kicker Nolan] Hauser might get the game ball, but can they finish in the end zone? That’s a legitimate question.”
On3’s J.D. PicKell predicted a 23-17 Seminoles win.
“I think Florida State has the firepower to win this game. Do they access it? Do they allow themselves to access it? Remains to be seen,” PicKell said. “Here’s my thing though, man. I can’t trust this Clemson offense. I love Dabo Swinney and what he’s done at Clemson. Scoring less than 20 points against Virginia Tech, having a quarterback who has one passing touchdown this year — it’s gonna take something we have not seen from Clemson.
“So therefore I’m not gonna predict that. I’m gonna predict Florida State wins. I think Florida State covers again. I think it’s gross. Don’t let the kids watch, man. It’s gonna be nasty. Not gonna be great football, but you know what, you don’t apologize for getting a win. Florida State gets one in this spot, final score 23-17, at the crib in Tallahassee. Florida State just by the hair of their chinny chin chin, covering against Clemson, and a massive optics loss for the folks out there in Clemson, South Carolina.”
Athlon Sports’ Steven Lassan picked Florida State, 24-20.
“This game was once the must-see matchup in the ACC. In 2026, it’s two teams off the radar and fighting for bowl eligibility,” Lassan wrote. “Clemson’s offense is struggling and has only two touchdown passes all season. Florida State’s struggling defense might help the Tigers’ offensive cause this weekend. However, even with star running back Ousmane Kromah out for the rest of the year, I think the Seminoles will find a way to score enough points to win this one.”
Athlon’s Kyle Wood also pegged Florida State to win, with Wood forecasting a 24-19 final score.
“Remember when these teams ran the ACC? Now, both fan bases seem to just be waiting for an inevitable coaching change,” Wood wrote. “The Seminoles have shown more fight as of late, specifically in their double-overtime loss to Miami. And for all of its recent struggles, FSU has held its own at home for the most part.”
ESPN Analytics give FSU a 71.3% chance to win tonight’s game.
