Several former Clemson recruiting targets have announced decisions this week.
The most recent came on Friday, when four-star in-state OL Nate Carson committed to South Carolina. Clemson, Georgia and Colorado were the other finalists, despite Carson no longer being a take for the Tigers.
Matt Luke already holds commitments from four offensive linemen in the 2027 class, and Clemson is not expected to take another one.
Carson visited Clemson twice during the spring, including a stop for the Elite Retreat in early March, then returned for the big official visit weekend, May 29-31.
The Rivals Industry Rankings slot Carson No. 224 overall, No. 14 among all interior linemen in the class and No. 5 in the Palmetto State.
