One of Clemson’s top offensive line targets has set a return date to Clemson.
2028 four-star Sam Walker (Central, GA) tells The Clemson Insider he will be back on campus on October 3 when the Tigers host Miami, a game that could have huge implications on the ACC standings.
Earlier this month, Walker named his three finalists, with Clemson, Georgia Tech and South Carolina each making the cut.
Walker holds around 20 offers in total, including Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Florida State.
The 6-foot-5, 320-pounder has visited multiple times in the past, with the most recent coming back in June when he worked out at camp. About two weeks later, he officially received an offer from Clemson.
“For Clemson, they are definitely up there for sure,” Walker recently told TCI. “Because coach Luke, he is always talking to me, always in contact. And Clemson in general, it is just a great place to be. When I was up there, it felt like home. For real.”
Rivals ranks the blue-chip talent No. 54 overall and as the fourth-best interior lineman in the class. He also ranks No. 8 in the state of Georgia.
