Clemson and North Carolina are set to kick off ACC play on Saturday at the Tigers’ Memorial Stadium.

On Monday, Clemson released its depth chart ahead of the matchup.

Freshman Tait Reynolds is officially listed as the starting quarterback. Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney said Sunday that Reynolds would be the starter for the UNC game, confirming Reynolds earned the start based on his performance in the Tigers’ 22-7 win over Georgia Southern last Saturday night and not because senior Christopher Vizzina is banged up.

Swinney said Vizzina (left arm injury) is expected be available to play against the Tar Heels, but he goes into the game as the backup QB.

“It’s (based) on how they played,” Swinney said. “We just feel, based on opportunity, mistakes and body of work, Tait has earned the opportunity to start.”

Devarrick Woods, who joined the Tigers this summer after being granted a fifth year of eligibility by the NCAA, is now listed as a co-starter at both defensive tackle spots alongside junior Andy Burburija and sophomore Amare Adams.

Woods made his Clemson debut at No. 11 LSU and then posted three tackles (0.5 for loss) vs. Georgia Southern. The 6-foot-3, 285-pounder spent his first two seasons at Hinds (Miss.) Community College and Texas State from 2023-24 before making the jump to the FBS in 2025, compiling 16 tackles (two for loss) and a sack over 11 games at Texas State.

Also of note, senior defensive tackle Vic Burley is not listed on the depth chart, despite being reinstated from his suspension by Swinney. Swinney said last week that Burley would not play vs. Georgia Southern but would be available for the North Carolina game.

Kickoff of Saturday’s game is set for noon on ESPN, with Clemson currently a 3.5-point favorite.
