With Clemson on the road this week, many of the schools’ recruiting targets will also be on the road, taking other visits.

One worth keeping an eye on is four-star OL Sam Walker (Central, GA) and his trip to Athens for Georgia’s game against Oklahoma.

Walker picked up his offer from Clemson in June, shortly after working out at Dabo Swinney’s high school camp, and by the end of the summer he’d already named his three finalists, which included the Tigers, South Carolina, and Georgia Tech.

“For Clemson, they are definitely up there for sure,” Walker told TCI over the summer. “Because coach Luke, he is always talking to me, always in contact. And Clemson in general, it is just a great place to be. When I was up there, it felt like home. For real.”

Walker was at South Carolina last weekend, and he also visited Georgia Tech in early September. The 6-foot-4, 320-pounder is set to be back in Clemson next weekend for the Miami game.

However, this will be his second stop in Athens since the start of the season, and that is telling.

Walker has talked about the possibility of making an in-season decision, so this trip to Georgia could be a big one. It’s definitely one worth watching. It also makes his return trip to Clemson next weekend more crucial.
