A 2027 Clemson target has set a commitment date.
Four-star safety Marquis Bryant (Rolesville, NC) will announce a decision on December 16, and he will choose from a dozen finalists.
Clemson, Rutgers, Nebraska, Texas A&M, North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida State, Notre Dame, NC State, Ohio State and Indiana all made the final cut. The Tigers, Fighting Irish, Volunteers, Bulldogs, Seminoles and Tar Heels were his six original finalists back in August.
Bryant has visited Clemson multiple times over the past year, with the last one coming for the season-opener against LSU. He picked up his offer from the Tigers back in June after working out at camp.
“Clemson has been my dream school since I was young,” Bryant told TCI in a previous interview. “So being able to play Clemson football would be a dream come true.”
The 6-foot, 190-pound defensive back has more than 30 offers in total. Bryant has also taken game-day visits to Ohio State, Tennessee, Georgia, LSU and Notre Dame this season.
As a junior, Bryant picked off six passes this season, with three passes defended and one forced fumble. He ranks No. 169 overall in the Rivals Industry Rankings and No. 17 among all safeties in his class. He’s also ranked No. 8 in the state of North Carolina.
