CLEMSON — Four days after his arrest for public disorderly conduct, Clemson defensive tackle Vic Burley released a statement, via social media, on Wednesday apologizing to the Clemson Football Family and fans for his actions.

On Saturday, Aug. 22, Burley was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after he was allegedly found asleep at 2:15 a.m., by officers in his truck with the vehicle running. On Wednesday, Burley pleaded guilty to public disorderly conduct in a Clemson University Municipal Court and was granted a conditional discharge by Judge Lindsey Simmons.

Burley will remain under court supervision for six months and must do community service, among other things, to get his charges dismissed. The graduate senior was suspended indefinitely by head coach Dabo Swinney last Saturday afternoon.

After not seeing the field much over his first two seasons, Burley logged 175 snaps last year, appearing in all 13 games. He finished with 15 tackles. 0.5 tackles for loss and one pass breakup. Burley is listed as a senior graduate on this year’s roster.
