CLEMSON — One of Clemson’s most recent offers could be back on campus this weekend.
Four-star CB Tyler Boyd (Carrollton, GA) tells The Clemson Insider that he is planning on being in Clemson on Saturday for the Tigers’ prime-time matchup against Virginia Tech.
Last weekend, Boyd was in Tennessee for the Vols’ win over Alabama and the week before he was at Alabama. That marked his second trip to Tuscaloosa this season. Auburn, Georgia and LSU have also gotten game-day visits this season.. Boyd was in Baton Rouge for Clemson’s blowout loss to kick off the season.
Boyd just announced an offer ahead of the Miami game earlier this month and considered visiting for that one. However, it never came together. He was on campus back in the summer during Dabo Swinney’s high school camp.
The 6-foot, 190-pounder has close to 50 offers in total, with almost every major football program in the country having extended one. He is one of four 2028 corners who currently hold offers from Clemson.
A majority of the recruiting services rank him inside the Top 50 overall and among the five best cornerbacks in the class.
